EVERETT, Wash. — In the audience of any Team USA women’s water polo match, American rapper Flavor Flav can be found cheering his heart out at the Paris Olympics. Now, the official "hype man" of USA women's water polo is commemorated in a new collectable figurine.
Funko, based in Everett, Wash., announced the new Pop! figurine of Flavor Flav on Friday. The 4-inch-tall figure carries a water polo ball and is dressed in red, white and blue, wearing a USA water polo cap.
“Yeah boyyyy! Help us support USA Water Polo with POP! Team USA USAWP Flavor Flav!” the item description on the website reads. “Funko is partnering with Flavor Flav to support USA Water Polo with this exclusive collectible.”
Funko creates characters from pop culture, sports, movies and reality with vinyl collectible figurines with the signature oversized heads.
It closely replicates the outfit Flavor Flav, who was born as William Jonathan Drayton Jr., wore to the USA vs. Italy preliminary match at the Olympic Games in Paris on July 27.
In July, Flavor Flav signed a five-year sponsorship deal as the official “hype man” for the USA women’s water polo and men’s national teams. The sponsorship includes financial contributions to the women’s water polo team, after Flav found out several players on the team worked multiple jobs in order to make ends meet.

"As a girl dad and a champion of all sports, I'm excited to bring my energy and voice to this incredible sport. The limited-time-only POP! Team USA USAWP Flavor Flav is available for pre-order through 9:30 a.m. PDT Friday, Aug. 16. The price is listed at $20 and expected to ship in December.
