A look at the picturesque backdrop for 13News' reports from the Olympic Games in Paris

Samantha Johnson and Anne Marie Tiernon are set to report from the media center they call the "Hollywood Squares."

PARIS, France — Channel 13's Anne Marie Tiernon and Samantha Johnson arrived in France Monday to cover the Olympic Games in Paris.

They've been sharing photos online, including the location where they'll bring you live reports every day.

It's a rare, behind-the-scenes look at the Olympic setup ahead of the Games.

It's a rooftop booth referred to as the "Hollywood Squares" because of the boxy array of workspaces. And there's good reason for this location choice. It's in the shadow of the iconic Eiffel Tower.

There will be dozens of live broadcasts, and Anne Marie and Samantha are going be spending a lot of time here as they file our reports.

But the location also provides great views of Paris. Anne Marie and Samantha said they're loving the architecture, the flowers on the balcony, all the trees here.

Anne Marie and Samantha went all around Paris on Tuesday, and, of course, talked to some athletes, including with Matt Anderson, of USA Volleyball.

"Body is feeling good," Anderson said. "I've been training really hard for this, to be peaking physically at this point as well and, you know, it's coming together."

Anne Marie and Samantha said it was great to catch up with Anderson today. His wife, Jackie, graduated from Cathedral High School and Indiana University. They bought a home in Zionsville in 2019, and they have two young children, ages 4 and 2.

Of course, all this preparation, is to get ready for the opening ceremony on Friday.

While visiting Paris, Anne Marie and Samantha said they've seen a couple of things, including a lot of security and a lot of checks. They went through three different security points just to be able to access certain areas.

Anne Marie and Samantha also saw a lot of the volunteers, getting their training and information in their uniforms around town to help provide information.

They are very excited for the 2024 Paris Olympics, which you can watch on Channel 13 beginning with the Opening Ceremony on Friday, July 26 at 1:30 p.m. ET.
