Reggie Wayne to be inducted into Colts Ring of Honor

Reggie Wayne will be inducted into the Colts Ring of Honor this coming season.

INDIANAPOLIS — Reggie Wayne will be inducted into the Colts Ring of Honor.

The Colts made the announcement on Tuesday that he will be inducted on Nov. 18, 2018 at Lucas Oil Stadium. The Colts play the Titans that day.

"No one is more of a true Colt than Reggie Wayne," Colts Owner & CEO Jim Irsay said in a statement. "He embodies everything about the Horseshoe and is much beloved by Colts fans everywhere. He was also one of the greatest players in NFL history, and chants of ‘REG-GIE, REG-GIE’ will forever echo through our stadium along with memories of many amazing catches and exciting plays. I could not be more proud and honored to induct Reggie Wayne into the Colts Ring of Honor."

Wayne played 14 seasons with the Colts. Some of his most memorable an record-breaking moments are:

  • Played in 211 games (197 starts), the most games in franchise history.
  • Totaled 1,070 receptions for 14,345 yards and 82 touchdowns.
  • Ranks 10th in NFL history in receptions and receiving yards and is tied for 23rd in receiving touchdowns.
  • Registered 43 100-yard receiving games, which ranks tied for 15th in league history.
  • Was a member of the Colts Super Bowl XLI championship team following the 2006 season.
  • Was a six-time Pro Bowl selection and was a First Team Associated Press NFL All-Pro in 2010.

Wayne will become the 15th honoree in the Ring of Honor, joining other Colts greats including owner Robert Irsay, quarterback Jim Harbaugh, head coach Tony Dungy, Jeff Saturday and QB-Peyton Manning (2017).
