Game Blog | Colts lose 10th straight road game to Jaguars in 37-34 heartbreaker

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Indianapolis Colts will try to end a nine-game road-losing skid to the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday. 

The streak includes a game in London. The Jaguars (0-4) are favored in this AFC South matchup despite being the NFL's only winless team. 

Quarterback Anthony Richardson was ruled inactive for Sunday's game.

In a post on X, the Colts (2-2) listed all of their inactive players for Sunday's game. Aside from Richardson, the team listed wide receiver Anthony Gould, cornerback Kenny Moore II, running back Jonathan Taylor, defensive end Kwity Paye, tackle Blake Freeland and center Ryan Kelly. 

Taylor exited late in the game during last week's win over the Pittsburgh Steelers with an ankle injury. Paye and Moore were both injured two weeks ago during the Colts' win over the Chicago Bears. Neither practiced this week.

Richardson was limited during this week's practices. He left last week's game against the Steelers with a hip injury and was replaced by Joe Flacco. The Associated Press reported that a sore hip limited Richardson in Wednesday's practice and that Flacco took the majority of the snaps. 

Now that the Colts officially downgraded Richardson to inactive, this means backup quarterback Joe Flacco will take his place.

• 0:24 — The Jags try to run down the clock with another Tank Bigsby run. He's stopped for a 2-yard loss and Shane Steichen takes his second timeout of the half.
• 0:27 — Tank Bigsby runs for a 1-yard gain. The Colts call their first timeout of the half.
• 0:35 — Trevor Lawrence passes to Christian Kirk for a 14-yard reception, moving the Jags solidly into field goal range as the clock ticks down.
• 1:19 — Trevor Lawrence finds Farrell for an 11-yard gain, moving the Jags closer to field goal range.
• 2:00 — The Jaguars take over at their own 30. Trevor Lawrence finds D'Ernest Johnson for a 9-yard gain. At the two-minute warning, it's 2nd and 1 for Jacksonville.

• 3:46 — Trevor Lawrence tries to find Brian Thomas Jr., but Thomas can't complete the catch, bringing up 3rd and 10 for the Jaguars.
• 4:27 — Trey Sermon gets the call and runs for a 1-yard touchdown. The Colts are now again down by a touchdown late in the fourth quarter.

• 8:06 — On 3rd and 8, Joe Flacco can't find an open receiver, so the 39-yard-old Super Bowl champion runs it himself for a 21-yard gain and a Colts first down.
• 9:59 — The Colts take over on their own 30 after the kickoff goes for a touchback. On the first play of the drive, Joe Flacco hits Michael Pittman Jr., who runs for a 27-yard gain and a Colts first down.
