Live Updates | Colts drop prime time game to Vikings 21-13 after offense struggles

MINNEAPOLIS — The Indianapolis Colts (4-4) travel to Minnesota to take on the Vikings (5-2) to play Indy's first prime time game this season on Sunday night. 

The game will see veteran quarterback Joe Flacco start the game under center following head coach Shane Steichen's decision to bench sophomore QB Anthony Richardson earlier this week. 

The Colts will have a few inactive players during Sunday night's game. Left tackle Bernhard Raimann was ruled out on Friday with a concussion. Quarterback Sam Ehlinger, defensive tackle Adam Gotsis, wide receiver Anthony Gould and defensive end Genard Avery were all listed as out on the final Colts injury report.

Defensive end Kwity Paye was listed as questionable with a hamstring injury. He received limited reps in practice this week.

• 0:28 — Matt Gay comes out to kick a 54-yard field goal. He drills the kick to add three points to the Colts' score.

• 0:42 — Flacco's next pass to Alec Pierce is intercepted, but the Vikings are called for pass interference.
• 0:43 — Flacco passes to Alec Pierce, but Pierce can't make the catch. The pass falls incomplete, but Minnesota is flagged for too many men on the field.
• 1:04 — Joe Flacco is sacked for the third time for a loss of 8 yards.
• 1:26 — Out of the shotgun, Joe Flacco finds Josh Downs for a 14-yard gain and a first down.

• 3:49 — Another Aaron Jones run sees the Vikings gain 7 yards.

• 14:13 — Back on offense, Flacco hands off to Jonathan Taylor, who runs for a 1-yard gain.
• 14:22 — On the Vikings first play of their possession, Sam Darnold is picked off by Nick Cross, who returns it 20 yards to the Vikings' 25-yard line.

• 14:28 — Somehow, things get worse on 3rd and 8 as Joe Flacco is intercepted. 

• 14:34 — On 2nd and 30, Adonai Mitchell makes an INSANE catch for a 22-yard gain.

• 2:48 — After the kickoff goes for a touchback, the Colts take over at their own 30-yard line. Jonathan Taylor gets the handoff and runs for a gain of about a yard.
• 2:49 — On 3rd and Goal, Sam Darnold finds Jalen Nailor for a 7-yard touchdown pass. Reichard's PAT is good, giving the Vikings their first lead of the game.

• 11:13 — On 2nd and 9, Sam Darnold looks to the end zone, but can't find a receiver. 
• 12:55 — Aaron Jones gets the carry and goes for 2 yards.
• 13:14 — Grover Stewart, who had such a good first half, is called for encroachment.
• 13:49 — Another big play for the Vikings as Sam Darnold passes deep to T.J. Hockenson for a 19-yard gain. 
• 14:23 — Aaron Jones runs right for a 4-yard gain.

• 0:17 — Will Reichard lines up for a 31-yard field goal, but it doinks off the right upright and is no good! That's his second missed kick of the game. The Colts will take over at their own 21-yard line with just seconds left to play in the first half.

• 1:04 — Sam Darnold passes to Justin Jefferson for an 8-yard gain, but its not enough for a first down. The Vikings let the play clock run down and then call their second timeout of the half. They will lineup for a field goal attempt.
• 1:09 — DeForest Buckner breaks through the Vikings' offensive line and sacks Sam Darnold for a 13-yard loss. The Colts take their final timeout of the half as the Vikings set up for 3rd and 21.
• 1:13 — Aaron Jones gets the handoff and runs for a 2-yard gain. The Colts call their second timeout of the half.
• 1:23 — Sam Darnold drops back and finds Justin Jefferson essentially wide-open for a 24-yard gain. The Vikings are now in the red zone.
• 1:26 — The Colts get a great pass rush on Sam Darnold, who is forced to throw it away.
• 1:55 — After taking over at their own 43-yard line, Sam Darnold finds Justin Jefferson for a 22-yard gain.

• 13:42 — Out of the shotgun, Joe Flacco throws his first pass of the day, finding Kylen Granson for a 22-yard gain and a first down.

• 14:22 — Jonathan Taylor gets the call again and this time gets 6 yards out of it. It'll be 3rd and 1 at the Colts 39.
• 15:00 — Jonathan Taylor gets the ball on the Colts first play of the game and runs left for a 3-yard gain.
• 15:00 — The Colts will get the ball first after the Vikings' opening kickoff goes for a touchback.
