Inside the Huddle | Colts seek to build momentum from win vs. Chicago

The Colts host the undefeated Steelers this Sunday at 1 p.m.

INDIANAPOLIS — It's back to business for the Indianapolis Colts after getting their first win of the season against the Bears.

Now they're preparing to host the undefeated Steelers Sunday afternoon.

Dave Calabro takes us Inside the Huddle with Colts linebacker Zaire Franklin.

Dave noted the vibe in the locker room is so different after the win.

"Man, it just does a lot for our confidence," said Franklin. "Does a lot for, you know, just the momentum of the season. Obviously we know it's a long season but, you know, it definitely feels great just to be ... get that big win at home and be back on the right side of the game."

It wasn't pretty but you got the W, and the run defense was better. What's changed here?

"Man, I just think we, you know, we held ourselves accountable. We watched the film, we were honest with each other and we were serious about our growth and our commitment to be the best. You know, I think those guys and myself included definitely stepped up and played better and I think it's something we've got to continue to improve on and grow with throughout the rest of the season," Franklin said.

Jaylon Jones had not one, but two interceptions, he's the AFC Defensive Player of the Week. You've got to be happy to see these young guys stepping in.

"Oh man, young J. Big play, big play in the game, but that's who he is, that's the type of player that he is," said Franklin. "I know that's what he's capable of so I'm looking forward to see him continue to grow and build on that great performance he had on Sunday.

The Steelers come to town undefeated, they've got Justin Fields and a great defense, but they always bring it, don't they?

"No, no question. You know what you're gonna get from a Mike Tomlin-coached team. They're gonna be tough, they're not gonna beat themselves and they're gonna try to run the ball so, you know, we've got our work cut out for us. Obviously Justin Fields is playing at a high level right now, but he's got a task against us this Sunday at Lucas Oil," Franklin said.

The Bears brought a lot of fans last week, we expect from the Steelers, whose fans always travel.

"Yeah, no question," Franklin said. "Hopefully we get to steal a couple of Terrible Towels. I might try to snatch one myself, we'll see."

Riley Kids of the Week

This week we have two Riley Kids of the Week.

"Yes, shout out to TJ and Zander Hamilton. Born at 23 weeks, they're twins, OK? They spent eight weeks in the hospital but now they're two years old, miracle babies, future Colts fans, shout out to TJ and Zander Hamilton," Franklin said.
