Colts prepare for Week 7 matchup against Miami Dolphins | Inside the Huddle

Indianapolis got back into the win column last week in Nashville.

INDIANAPOLIS — Indianapolis Colts linebacker Zaire Franklin joins us this week for Inside the Huddle.

The Colts got back into the win column last week in Nashviille. This defense only allowed 241 yards total offense, a nice bounce-back for the team. What worked last week?

"I think we just did a good job of just executing, tackling in space, rallying to the ball and, you know, I think just all of us continuing to get better, continue to grow throughout the season," Franklin said. "It was good to have a good performance under our belt, looking to build on that at home Sunday against Miami."

And hopefully back with Anthony Richardson under center this week, but even still, with a beat up football team, Joe Flacco under center is 2-1 in games Richardson hasn't finished or hasn't played. You've kind of kept the ship steady even with him, so him coming back a big boost, talk about the resiliency of this team.

"Not only just with Anthony, but having so many, you know, great players out, it's been tough, but I'm proud of the guys that stepped up and took advantage of the opportunities," Franklin said. "I think it just speaks to our locker room. It speaks to, you know, (Coach) Shane (Steichen) and just the type of culture that he's instilled in his team, but, you know, thankful to get a couple of those dudes back and, you know, hopefully we all get back to work and get to playing the ball that we know."

You're back at home this week as Miami comes to town. No (Dolphins quarterback) Tua (Tagovailoa), but as Coach Steichen said, it doesn't matter who's playing out there, you guys gotta focus on yourself. What's it gonna take to get back-to-back wins?

"We just gotta stay focused, we gotta keep building on, like I said, the performance that we had on Sunday. Obviously, we had some highs, we had some lows, but you know, a win is a win. We're confident, let's keep rolling. Let's get this win at home against Miami. I know Lucas Oil's gonna be turned up," Franklin said.

On every Inside the Huddle, we recognize a Riley Kid of the Week

"I wanna shout out to Max Statchell. He loves sports. He competes in wheelchair basketball and track. That's a great combo. Shout out to Max, man. He's the Riley Kid of the Week," Franklin said.
