Colts to debut new podcast about team's move from Baltimore to Indianapolis

The new series, titled "The Move," will be a four-part podcast featuring conversations with key figures in the history of the Baltimore and Indianapolis Colts.

INDIANAPOLIS — A new podcast is set to debut next week chronicling the Colts' move from Baltimore to Indianapolis 40 years ago. 

The Colts Audio Network will launch a new four-part podcast series titled "The Move" beginning Monday, June 24 that will feature conversations and interviews with key figures and personnel who were involved in the move from Baltimore to Indianapolis. 

Episode 1, titled "Baltimore," tells the story of the Baltimore Colts from the Johnny Unitas era to the teams' decline in the early 1980's. Episode 2 is titled "Indianapolis" and details how the city used sports to help further economic development. It will be released Monday, July 1. 

Episode 3, titled "Mayflower," premieres Monday, July 8 and explains why the Colts made the decision to pack their things into Mayflower trucks during the middle of the night on March 28, 1984. Finally, Episode 4 releases Monday, July 15 and tells the story of how the Colts first season in Indianapolis went and how the city of Baltimore reacted. 

Some of the guests set to be featured in the podcast are Colts owner and CEO Jim Irsay, Colts COO Pete Ward, former Colts players Matt Bouza and Raul Allegre, former Indianapolis deputy mayor Jim Morris, Bob & Tom Show host Tom Griswold and former Indianapolis radio DJ Jimmy "Mad Dog" Mattis. 

The episodes will be available on all major podcast platforms, such as Apple Podcasts and Spotify, as well as the Colts YouTube channel and mobile app.
