INDIANAPOLIS — He came all the way from Houston to see the Colts play the Texans Saturday at Lucas Oil Stadium.
"I'm a season ticket holder actually," said Joe Camacho.
You heard that right. Camacho lives in Houston but bleeds blue, and the fans in Indy love him for it.
Camacho wasn't among those who traveled the farthest to cheer on the Colts in their bid for a playoff spot. Three guys from Germany were.
"I'm here for 19 days because I'm really sure, I and Cristoph are going to the playoff game next week," said Marcel Schwaemmle from Black Forest, Germany.
"We're housing them for 12 days. Twelve days because they're expecting them to win today and go to the playoffs and they want to go to a playoff game," said Brent Vogel, president of the Blue Crew.
Vogel met Schwaemmle and his friends when he travelled to Germany earlier this year to watch the Colts play the Patriots.
"There's actually a fan club over there called the Germanapolis Colts," Vogel said.
Saturday Vogel's didn't have to go that far to cheer on the Colts. The possibility of the team making it to the playoffs made the moment even better.
"How could you not be pumped for this game?" he asked.
"If we win tonight, we're in. So, we are so excited, and we know we're going to win. We're going to beat some Texan butt," said Colts fan Sara Madrano.
"It's going to be a tough game tonight. Trust me. We got up on 'em in Houston, but tonight, I can honestly say it's going to be a knuckle brawl battle. We are ready for war. This is playoff time," said a fan who called himself Big E.
"I love that everybody counts us out, and look at us — we just keep coming back and surprising people," added Karen Rhoades.
A moment Rhoades was ready to share with thousands of other Colts fans.
"We're like a family," Rhoades added.
