INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - Retired Colts quarterback Andrew Luck took out a full page ad in Sunday's local newspaper to thank fans.
In the ad that appeared in the Indianapolis Star, Luck thanked the fans for welcoming him to Indy and helping him and his wife, Nicole, "make Indiana our home."
Luck mentioned "Hoosier hospitality" in his message and called his eight years in the NFL "the honor of a lifetime to represent the Colts and the city of Indianapolis on the world's stage."
"I'm a proud Midwesterner, a Hoosier, and a Colt," reads the closing line.
Luck announced his retirement last Saturday night, citing his battle with a long string of injuries throughout his career.
