BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — The No. 14 Indiana Hoosiers women's basketball team is in store for a very long Saturday.
Friday's winter storm brought heavy snow and wind to most of Iowa. Due to the weather, the Hoosiers' Friday flight to Cedar Rapids was canceled.
Instead, the Hoosiers (14-1) will now fly out at 10 a.m. Saturday morning — just 10 hours before their showdown against Caitlin Clark and the No. 3 Iowa Hawkeyes (16-1).
Saturday night's game has the Hoosiers putting their 13-game winning streak on the line against one of the nation's top teams. Clark, the projected No. 1 overall pick in this year's WNBA draft, currently leads women's college basketball with 31 points per game, according to ESPN.
Indiana's Mackenzie Holmes is ranked 24th in NCAA women's basketball with 19.7 points per game and seventh in field goal percentage, shooting 66.5% from the field, according to ESPN.
