INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis International Airport will be busy this weekend as thousands travel to the city for the NBA All-Star Game.
A basketball court is front and center in the airport's main plaza and everywhere there are signs saying NBA All-Star 2024 is here, tipping off in Indianapolis.
The excitement is growing as festivities begin all around town.
For many it starts at the airport, then weekend events pack the schedule.
"Just looking for the slam dunk, the skills contest as well as the 3-point contest," said visitor DJ Tat Money.
People are coming from across the country and some are going to the All-Star Game for the first time. For others, visiting the Circle City is a first.
Along with going to the games, fans want to explore the city.
"There's a party tonight. I know T-Pain is performing," said traveler Quentin Sylve.
"He wants to go to the mall, maybe check out some shoes. Maybe ride some Indy carts or something," said Scott Lee.
