Your basketball skills could win tickets to NBA All-Star Weekend festivities

The NBA All-Star 2024 Host Committee is hosting a statewide Knockout Competition involving each of Indiana's 92 counties.

INDIANAPOLIS — Hoosiers from across the state have a chance to take the court during All-Star Weekend in Indianapolis next month.

The NBA All-Star 2024 Host Committee is hosting a statewide Knockout Competition involving each of Indiana's 92 counties. 

The Knockout games are taking place at select boys and girls high school basketball games in the state through Feb. 13. Winners will be awarded a limited-edition NBA All-Star basketball, two tickets to the NBA Crossover event and a chance to play in the Knockout challenge at Bicentennial Unity Plaza during All-Star Weekend. 

The committee calls the competition "a basketball enthusiast's dream, open to anyone with a passion for the game."

The competition started Dec. 28 in Noblesville.

Indiana Fever stars Grace Berger, who played collegiately at Indiana University, and Lexie Hull are scheduled to attend six of the local games, including: 

  • Jan. 23: Evansville Mater Dei vs. Castle (boys game)
  • Jan. 25: Angola at Warsaw Community (girls game)
  • Jan. 26: Greenwood at Perry Meridian (girls/boys game)
  • Feb. 9: Roncalli at Heritage Christian (boys game)
  • Feb. 10: Lawrence Central at Ben Davis (boys game)
  • Feb. 13: Indiana Math and Science North at Eminence (girls game)

"I've gotten to experience the state and experience how awesome the people are, but now I get to go north and south, east and west, and get to meet the people in the community who have supported me throughout my career," Berger said. "Basketball is the biggest in the state of Indiana. Everybody loves it. It really brings everyone together."

All-Star Weekend is scheduled for Feb. 16-18 in Indianapolis, with fan activities taking place at Lucas Oil Stadium, Gainbridge Fieldhouse and the Indiana Convention Center. State Farm All-Star Saturday Night will be held on Saturday, Feb. 17, with the 73rd NBA All-Star Game taking place Sunday, Feb. 18 at 8:30 p.m. at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
