INDIANAPOLIS — This year's NBA All-Star Game will also have winners beyond basketball.
Two central Indiana nonprofits will get a chance to go home with a major donation depending on who wins the NBA All-Star Game.
The Boys and Girls Club of Central Indiana will be represented by the Western Conference All-Stars, while the Eastern Conference All-Stars will represent Special Olympics of Indiana.
Each organization starts with a $100,000 donation and can raise an additional $240,000 based on which team wins the All-Star Game.
One group attended a skills competition Sunday afternoon. They couldn't contain their excitement about competing in the event.
"I love it. It's great," said Nash Sigmund, the skills challenge winner. "I get to go to the game tonight. I'm ready. I'm excited for it."
