INDIANAPOLIS — While the city puts up its final NBA All-Star billboards up, organizers are also preparing for the 125,000 people coming downtown.
That means a lot of traffic.
The NBA has released a map of the road closures throughout the weekend.
Delaware Street and half of Monument Circle will be closed on the south side of Gainbridge Fieldhouse through the entirety of NBA All-Star Weekend Feb. 16-18. Streets near Gainbridge Fieldhouse, Lucas Oil Stadium and the Indiana Convention Center will close temporarily, depending on the times of certain events.
The NBA has also created two detour routes. The Gold and Blue routes provide directions to side streets around the city that allow drivers to bypass the traffic near the main events.

"When you come downtown, just know where you are going to park ahead of time," said Danny Lopez, with Pacers Sports & Entertainment. "We have stations on that map online where you can catch an Uber or Lyft to see where you need to go. It's really going to be super easy. There's going to be a lot of people, but that's the excitement of having All-Star downtown."
While many of the events are sold out, there are hundreds of others people can go to. You can visit the NBA All-Star Playbook website to plan out your weekend.
All-Star activities start Thursday, Feb. 15 and conclude with the NBA All-Star Game on Sunday, Feb. 18 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
