Pacers' Haliburton reflects on representing the Pacers in the NBA All-Star Game

Haliburton has not only helped invigorate the Pacers this season, but he also has been embraced as a fan favorite during All-Star festivities.

INDIANAPOLIS — Fellow NBA players have dubbed Indiana Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton the "Prom King" of All-Star Weekend.

Haliburton has not only helped invigorate the Pacers this season, but he also has been embraced as a fan favorite during All-Star festivities.

"The respect that I've gained from, you know, my peers and legends means the world to me," said Haliburton at NBA All-Star Media Day

Growing up in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, Haliburton says some of the people he's met don't even know the location of his hometown.

"Meeting people where I'm from is not really a thing," said Haliburton. "It means the world to me and I just want to continue doing what I'm doing and gaining people's respect."

Haliburton is set to compete in Saturday night's Starry 3-Point Contest as well as the KIA Skills Challenge, where he'll be joined by Pacers teammates Myles Turner and Bennedict Mathurin. He'll then suit up for the Eastern Conference on Sunday night for his second consecutive NBA All-Star Game appearance.
