Celebrities visit Indianapolis during NBA All-Star Weekend

13Sports director Dave Calabro chatted with different celebrities on the red carpet of the NBA All-Star Celebrity game.

INDIANAPOLIS — NBA All-Star Weekend kicked off Friday night with the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game at Lucas Oil Stadium.

13Sports director Dave Calabro was on the red carpet before the game and got a chance to catch up with some of the celebs that took part in the All-Star Celebrity Game.

First, Dave found IndyCar driver Conor Daly, who will be swapping the steering wheel for a basketball.

"I am very excited because I just got to meet Puka Nacua, and that guy is awesome," said Daly. "C.J. Stroud was standing right in front of me and he's the enemy since I'm a Colts fan. A lot of different vibes going on right here."

Daly is a race car driver first, but told Dave he played a lot of basketball growing up.

"I did play a lot of basketball when I was a young lad at the Indiana Basketball Academy," said Daly. He told Dave that he's just hoping to make the stats sheet during the game.

After speaking with Daly, Dave caught up with Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud. Even though fans might not be happy with him after him and his team ended the Indianapolis Colts' season, Stroud said he's having fun in the Circle City.

Dave asked Stroud about his thoughts on his rookie season in the NFL. Stroud considered himself blessed.

"It's been a blessing to be able to grow, have a couple wins under our belt, you know just learn from there," said Stroud. "Hopefully next year we'll learn from our losses and have a better season than we did this year."

Stroud told Dave that even though he can sling a football quite well, he's looking forward to shooting a basketball in the Celebrity Game.

Sticking with football players making a switch to basketball, Dave caught up with Mecole Hardman, the Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver who caught the winning touchdown pass in Super Bowl 58.

"I'm still up man! I ain't been asleep yet, baby!" said Hardeman on his feelings after catching the Super Bowl-winning pass.

Hardeman told Dave life has been hectic and he's been "going everywhere" since his Super Bowl triumph.

Despite playing in Kansas City, a midwestern city that sees its fair share of snow, Hardeman says he didn't expect snow in Indianapolis.

"It didn't expect this snow," said Hardeman. "We in Kansas City already had our snow already! Thankfully everything is indoors and not outdoors."

Hardeman finishes the interview telling Dave his plan is to "ball out" during Friday night's game.

Finally, Dave caught up with streamer Kai Cenat, who was thrilled to be on the red carpet.

"I feel good, I feel amazing! It's snowing outside, there's a whole lot going on, boom! We ready to put on a show tonight," said Cenat.

Cenat even called his shot, telling Dave he was going for 30-40 points and "17 rebounds."
