INDIANAPOLIS — Heartland Film is celebrating the NBA All-Star Game coming to Indianapolis with the launch of an inaugural film festival.
The SLAM Film Festival, in partnership with RTG Features, will take place Feb. 16-18 at the Living Room Theaters.
The festival will include world premiere titles, recent festival circuit favorites and iconic films.
The following films will be screened:

- "Amongst the Trees" (2024) ((post-screening panel and Q&A with executive producer Paul George and director/producer Jack Jensen)
- "Blue Chips" (1994)
- "Candace Parker: Unapologetic" (2023) (post-screening panel and Q&A with Candace Parker)
- "Chang Can Dunk" (2023) (post-screening panel and Q&A with writer/director Jingyi Shao and members of the cast)
- "D. Wade: Life Unexpected" (2020)
- "Game Change Game" (2022)
- "Gunnin' For That #1 Spot" (2008)
- "Handle With Care: The Legend of The Notic Streetball Crew" (2021) (post-screening panel and Q&A with directors Jeremy Schaulin-Rioux and Kirk Thomas)
- "Hoop Dreams" (1994) (post-screening panel and Q&A with director Steve James and film subjects Arthur Agee and William Gates)
- "Perfect in '76" (2017)
- "Shattered Glass: A WNBPA Story" (2024) (post-screening panel and Q&A with director/producer Andrea Buccilla and WNBPA executive director Terri Carmichael Jackson)
- "Stephen Curry: Underrated" (2023) (post-screening panel and Q&A with Stephen Curry's former Davidson teammate, Jason Richards)
- "The Syd + TP Show" (2023) (post-screening panel and Q&A with Sydney Colson and Theresa Plaisance, who will also do a standup routine. This event will also be filmed for Season 2 of "The Syd + TP Show.")
