INDIANAPOLIS — The injury troubles plaguing the Indiana Pacers in the early part of the new NBA season continued this weekend.
On Saturday, the team confirmed that center Isaiah Jackson tore his right Achilles tendon in the fourth quarter of Friday night's 125-118 loss to the New Orleans Pelicans.
Jackson reportedly had an MRI Saturday afternoon that confirmed the injury. The team says he is scheduled for surgery on Monday, Nov. 4.
The Pacers did not give a timetable for when Jackson might be able to return to the court, but the injury is enough to end the season for the 6-foot-10 Michigan native.
