INDIANAPOLIS — The Brickyard 400 is changing dates once again — but this time to a more familiar one.

The 2025 NASCAR schedules were announced Thursday, Aug. 29 with Brickyard weekend falling the weekend of July 26-27. The NASCAR Xfinity Series will once again join the NASCAR Cup Series at the famed 2.5-mile oval, racing the Pennzoil 250 on Saturday, July 26 prior to Sunday's Brickyard 400.

“Celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Brickyard on the oval this year was much anticipated by fans and drivers alike, and the overtime win by Kyle Larson did not disappoint,” said IMS President Doug Boles. “Tradition and history are a huge part of Brickyard Weekend, and a very noteworthy win by Jeff Gordon occurred on this date. Only time will tell who will add their names to the history books in 2025.”

In 2014, Jeff Gordon won his fifth Brickyard 400 on July 27. With the win, Gordon became the first driver to win five Brickyard 400s and tied Michael Schumacher as the only drivers in the history of IMS to win a major race five times at the track.

In addition to Cup and Xfinity returning to IMS, the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series will also return to Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park on Friday, July 25. It will be the fourth time the Trucks will head to the Brownsburg short track following their decade long hiatus from 2011-2021. Lucas Oil IRP hosted the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series from the series inception in 1995 until it was removed from the 2012 calendar. It returned in 2022 and joined the ARCA Menards Series, which had run races at IRP on Brickyard weekend during the Truck Series' hiatus, except for in the years 2013 and 2021.

Finally, the Brickyard will have a new TV home in 2025. TNT Sports will conclude their portion of the NASCAR Cup Series broadcast schedule with the Brickyard 400. NBC Sports will pick up the rights beginning at Iowa on Aug. 3.
