INDIANAPOLIS — We are just 83 days away from the 108th Running of the Indianapolis 500, and one of the legends of the sport just unveiled his new ride for the big race.
Four-time Indy 500 champ Helio Castroneves is back for a drive for a fifth championship.
"We're super thrilled to have Cliffs, an incredible company, and not only are they all over America but special here in Indianapolis, in Indiana. It's a strong one and we're excited. New colors, same number and can't wait to be in this amazing machine," said Castroneves.
We asked Castroneves how different this season is for him, racing on in Indy and not doing the entire series.
"I'll be honest with you, I'm not being a very patient guy at the moment, staying on the sidelines, but it's great. It's great to have Felix and Tom, obviously, in the car, understanding, talking and it's a different chapter, however, when it comes to the month of May, then that's it. It's it's becoming what I'm used to, and that's why I'm excited because MSR it's, this is a brand new car. We're doing an incredible development. I can't wait, I can't wait to be in this machine."
And as for his drive for a fifth Indy 500 win, Castroneves said he can feel it.
"I can put all the pieces together," he said. "We did it once, and MSR is coming strong."
The 108th Indianapolis 500 is Sunday, May 27. Click here for ticket information.
