INDIANAPOLIS — As IndyCar drivers return to the track, another May tradition returns to 13News.
13 Sports director Dave Calabro spent a little time talking to the drivers over some Milk & Cookies.
They talked about what their dream is after racing and what their book should be titled.
What is your dream after racing?
Graham Rahal: Oh, I think my dream after racing is selling cars. I mean, I just love that. That's what I love.
Josef Newgarden: I'm gonna go into financial services. and we are going to organize portfolios, we're going to get them balanced correctly for your risk assessment, and we're going to get you positioned, Dave, for retirement — and we're going to be prudent about our decisions financially. So that is what I'm going to be doing, ladies and gentlemen.
Sting Ray Robb: I think I could have a chance at being a dog trainer one of these days. I love bird dogs. I like going hunting, and so working with them out in the mountain somewhere.
Scott Dixon: My dream is going to a beach, going to a ski holiday or something outside of, you know, the craziness of what the race season is. And I don't see it ending anytime soon. So like, yeah, my dreams are still racing stuff.
Colton Herta: I would love to, I think, be a TV presenter for WTHR. Maybe something like that.
Dave: I like that. He's got the hair flow.
Herta: We kind of look similar.
Dave: You got the flow going.
If they write a book about your life, what's it titled?
Ed Carpenter: "Ed." Yeah, just "Ed."
Romain Grosjean: "Facing Death," and it exists already. Yeah, that's the name of the book, "Facing Death."
Santino Ferrucci: "The Great Santino." I just like that. I just think it's great. I just think it's a cool ring to it. It's like the Great Bambino, you know?
Hélio Castroneves: It's already been there, yeah, "Victory Road: The Ride of My Life."
Álex Palou: "Contracts."
