INDIANAPOLIS โ On Monday, IndyCar drivers were out making their mark on Indianapolis streets.
Chip Ganassi drivers Scott Dixon and Alex Palou put up street signs bearing their names. Dixon's sign is at Meridian and Wabash streets. Palou's went up at Illinois and Georgia streets.
We're counting down to the 108th Running of the Indianapolis 500, now just 20 days away, and and there's still plenty of events leading up to the race.
Other signs of the race started appearing around the city in late April.
Downtown Indy, Inc. gave some street corners a makeover with help from Indianapolis Motor Speedway President Doug Boles. He put a street sign up near the Indiana Statehouse. It was the first sign of the year to help promote this year's race.
The Indianapolis 500 is set for Sunday, May 26.
