SPEEDWAY, Ind. — It will be loud again this weekend at out at Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the annual "Battle on the Bricks."
To kick things off Thursday, hundreds of fans came out to the IMSA Street Festival in Speedway where fans got an up-close look at more than 30 cars on display with some of the drivers there to accompany them.
For IMS President Doug Boles, it was a chance for drivers to engage with people in the community.
"Hoosier Hospitality is a real thing and for me to walk up and down Main Street and just see people interacting and enjoying being in central Indiana, it's really what I enjoy the most," Boles said. "When we bring events to Indianapolis, we host them in a way that nobody else can and this is just another example of that."
The first practice happens Friday morning. There's a full schedule of events from there, all leading up to the Battle on the Bricks on Sunday morning at 11:40.
