INDIANAPOLIS — Central Indiana golfers now have a new place to go to practice their irons and will be able to play year-round.
Five Iron Golf has officially teed off in downtown Indianapolis with 12 custom-built golf simulators in its 22nd location at 421 N. Pennsylvania St. Suite 101.
Multiple high-speed cameras and technology allows the simulators to capture every angle of a golf swing and accurately show the ball's speed, acceleration and position. Guests will be able to tee off all around the world.
The Indy location will also feature amenities like bag storage, locker rooms, a bar, food and towel service.
“Indianapolis has been waiting for something like this, and what better time to open than when it’s cold and golfers are looking to improve their game,” said Scott Schmelzer, the general manager. “For the avid players, we offer cutting-edge technology, certified instructors, the nation’s largest indoor golf league, and more, and for those just looking to enjoy themselves, we offer a full service bar with local beer on tap and a delicious curated food menu.”
Five Iron Golf offers memberships where players can compete in leagues with teams up to four different players.
