INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana Hoosiers stayed in the top five of the College Football Playoff rankings ahead of their biggest game of the season.
Indiana is ranked No. 5 for the second straight week in the poll. The undefeated Hoosiers travel to Columbus to face No. 2 Ohio State on Saturday.
Notre Dame, ranked No. 6 in the AP poll this week, is also No. 6 in the CFP rankings. The Fighting Irish host undefeated Army Saturday at 7 p.m. on Channel 13.
The top four ranked conference champions will earn byes in the playoff bracket. The remaining eight teams will play each other at the home stadium of the higher-ranked team. Five conference champions earn a spot in the playoff.
Based on the current rankings, Indiana would be seeded seventh in the playoff bracket and host a first-round game against Mississippi. Notre Dame would be seeded eighth and host Alabama.
