FORT WAYNE, Ind. — Jlynn Counter's 18 points helped IUPUI defeat Purdue Fort Wayne 85-79 on Wednesday night.
Counter had five rebounds for the Jaguars (6-14, 2-7 Horizon League). DJ Jackson scored 17 points while finishing 7 of 9 from the floor. Abdou Samb shot 6 of 10 from the field and 1 for 4 from the line to finish with 13 points. The victory snapped a five-game skid for the Jaguars.
The Mastodons (13-6, 4-4) were led in scoring by Jalen Jackson, who finished with 22 points and six rebounds. Rasheed Bello added 19 points and four assists for Purdue Fort Wayne. Anthony Roberts also had 13 points and three blocks.
