INDIANAPOLIS — Indiana Fever rookie Caitlin Clark won two awards at The ESPYS Thursday night.
Clark was named Best Female College Athlete and also won the award for Best Record-Breaking Performance for becoming the NCAA's all-time leading scorer during her career at Iowa.
"This award means a lot not only to myself, but also to my teammates and coaches I had at the University of Iowa," Clark said in a recorded acceptance speech.
Clark was nominated for a third award, Best Female Athlete, which was won by Las Vegas Aces star A'ja Wilson.
Purdue star Zach Edey, the two-time men's national college basketball player of the year, was nominated for the Best Male College Athlete award and the Indianapolis Colts are up for Humanitarian Team of the Year. LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels and the Angel City Football Club, the National Women's Soccer League team in Los Angeles, won those awards.
