INDIANAPOLIS — The Big Ten unveiled schedules for the 2025 football season Wednesday.
The announcement filled out dates and conference opponents for Big Ten teams, though kickoff times will be announced at a later date. Also, some games could change dates within the assigned week due to television commitments.
Both of Indiana's representatives in the conference will open their 2025 slate with several weeks at home. The season starts Aug. 30 and runs through Nov. 29, which is the Saturday after Thanksgiving.
Indiana opens up with four games at home, including their Big Ten opener against Illinois at Memorial Stadium in Bloomington. Purdue plays their first three games of the season at Ross-Ade Stadium, including a Sept. 13 contest with USC, the Big Ten opener for both teams.
The Hoosiers, who qualified for the College Football Playoff with an 11-1 regular season in 2024, will face two other CFP teams in Big Ten play in 2025, traveling to both Oregon and Penn State.
Purdue plays at Notre Dame on Sept. 20 and hosts Ohio State on Nov. 8. Both the Fighting Irish and the Buckeyes are part of the College Football Playoff this season.
The Old Oaken Bucket Game — the annual rivalry between the Hoosiers and Boilermakers — will be played in West Lafayette on Saturday, Nov. 29. Indiana won this year's meeting, 66-0, snapping a three-game Purdue winning streak in the rivalry.
The Big Ten Championship Game is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 6 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
