The game was scoreless until the final two minutes of the first half. On 4th down and 3, Hamilton Heights quarterback Josh Feltz completed a pass to Jesse Brown, who broke a tackle and scored a 24 yard touchdown with 1:43 left in the second quarter. The extra point kick was blocked.

Tipton moved quickly down the field with a hurry up offense. Kellen Woods dove across the goal line on a seven yard touchdown with 25 seconds to go in the second quarter. The Blue Devils led 7-6 at the half.
