INDIANAPOLIS — It was a showdown between two Class 6A powerhouses on the opening night of the 2024 Operation Football season.
No. 7 Cathedral came into the home of the defending 6A state champions No. 3 Ben Davis looking to avenge their loss in last year's regional round.
The Fighting Irish did just that and avenged last year's senior class by defeating the Giants 24-6, handing Ben Davis their first loss since Sept. 8, 2023.
