Here is a class-by-class breakdown of how all the top-ranked teams in the Associated Press poll fared during the week of Sept. 27, 2024.

INDIANA, USA — Week 6 of Operation Football was interrupted by the remnants of Hurricane Helene, pushing a majority of Friday's scheduled games to Saturday. 

Here is a class-by-class breakdown of how all the top-ranked teams in the AP poll fared during the week of Sept. 27, 2024:

CLASS 6A

  • No. 2 Brownsburg defeated No. 1 Westfield 17-13.
  • No. 3 Warren Central defeated Pike 18-7.
  • No. 4 Crown Point defeated 5A No. 3 Valparaiso 41-7.
  • No. 5 Center Grove defeated Lawrence Central 27-18.
  • No. 6 Lawrence North defeated Ben Davis 58-28.
  • No. 7 Cathedral did not play. Next game: Oct. 4 vs. Center Grove.
  • No. 8 Hamilton Southeastern defeated Zionsville 25-14.
  • No. 9 Elkhart defeated South Bend St. Joseph 38-17.
  • No. 10 Fishers defeated Avon 27-13.

CLASS 5A

  • No. 1 Concord defeated NorthWood 27-17.
  • No. 3 Valparaiso lost to 6A No. 4 Crown Point 41-7.
  • No. 4 Lafayette Jefferson defeated Richmond 70-0.
  • No. 5 Merrillville defeated LaPorte 35-0.
  • No. 6 Bloomington North defeated New Albany 52-7.
  • No. 6 Whiteland lost to 4A No. 3 Martinsville 20-13.
  • No. 8 East Central defeated South Dearborn 45-0.
  • No. 9 Decatur Central defeated No. 2 Plainfield 42-21. 
  • No. 10 Warsaw lost to Plymouth 33-32 in OT.
