Hamilton Heights wins 5th straight against Twin Lakes | Operation Football

Hamilton Heights scored their second win of the season and fifth straight against Twin Lakes on Friday night.

ARCADIA, Indiana — For the fifth time in as many seasons, the Hamilton Heights Huskies have defeated the Twin Lakes Indians.

However, unlike their last two meetings, it wasn't a complete blowout in favor of the Huskies.

The game was pretty evenly matched throughout, with both teams scoring touchdowns in the first quarter, but neither being able to convert their PAT's. A scoreless second quarter made it a 6-6 halftime in Arcadia.

Early in the third quarter, Twin Lakes struck first with a quick rushing touchdown and their first made PAT of the night to put the Indians up 13-6 with 10 minutes to play in the quarter. On Heights' next possession, the team marched down the field to respond to the Indians' quick score.

A successful two-point conversion put the Huskies ahead 14-13.

The two teams continued to swap possessions until the clock expired on the third quarter. Finally, just after the start of the fourth quarter, Twin Lakes knocked through a field goal to re-take the lead.

After a couple more punts, the game shifted in favor of the Huskies after Heights' defense intercepted a Twin Lakes pass and took it all the way to the house for a pick-six, putting the home team up 20-16.

A series of fourth quarter defensive stands kept Twin Lakes out of the end zone for the remainder of the game. The Huskies scored once more with seconds remaining on the clock to ice the game and give Hamilton Heights their second win of the season.
