INDIANAPOLIS — Friday night's Operation Football Game of the Week takes the 13Sports crew to the east side of Indianapolis for a MIC showdown when the Warren Central Warriors host the Ben Davis Giants.
This means that the Band of the Week is the Warren Central Gold Brigade!
The Gold Brigade are the reigning Indiana State School Music Association (ISSMA) Scholastic A Class champions. They also compete in Bands of America (BOA). Last year's show, "The Secret of the Sirens," gave the Gold Brigade its first ISSMA championship since winning back-to-back titles in 2017 and 2018.
This year's show is titled "Poison Ivy," and the Gold Brigade picked up right were they left off last week. At the Lawrence Central Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 14, the band performed its 2024 show for the first time, sweeping the auxiliary categories and taking home first place.
