BROWNSBURG, Ind. — It's the final week of the Operation Football regular season, which means the final Band of the Week that 13News will highlight this season is the Sound of Brownsburg!
The Sound of Brownsburg Marching Band is composed of over 200 students and competes in the Indiana State School Music Association (ISSMA) Open Class A and also competes in Bands of America (BOA).
Last year, the band placed third overall at the ISSMA Open Class A state finals — the band's highest-ever placement — and was also a finalist at the BOA Grand National Championships. Earlier this year in January, the band traveled to Walt Disney World in Florida as part of the Disney Imagination Campus.
The band advanced to ISSMA Open Class A Semi-State last week after receiving a gold rating at regionals. On Saturday, the band will open their BOA competition season when they perform in the BOA Super Regionals at Lucas Oil Stadium.
From there, they'll compete at ISSMA Semi-State on Oct. 26 at Ben Davis High School.
Their 2024 show is titled "Sheba" and will be performed during their ISSMA and BOA competitions. Make sure to check out the band's performance in the player above and click here for more Band of the Week content.
