INDIANAPOLIS — It's another Friday night in central Indiana, which means it's time for Operation Football and the Band of the Week!
This week we're featuring the Marching Pride of Lawrence Township!
The MPLT was founded in 2014 when the marching bands of both Lawrence Central and Lawrence North combined their groups into one. The band competes in the Indiana State School Music Association (ISSMA) Open Class A as well as Bands of America (BOA).
This year, the band's show is titled "Once Upon a Twisted Wonderland." Already the band has placed well in competitions, coming in third place at the Brownsburg Invitational on Sept. 7 and then finishing runner-up to Avon at the Fishers Invite on Sept. 21.
The group is scheduled to travel to Fort Wayne for the ISSMA Class C and A Regionals on Saturday, Oct. 12.
