KOKOMO, Ind. — Kokomo's Flory Bidunga is a McDonald's All-American.
The Wildkats star was announced as one of 24 players in the nation who will participate in the 2024 McDonald's All-American Games on April 2.
“I think he was pretty excited,” Kokomo coach John Peckinpaugh told our partners at the Kokomo Tribune. “It’s been a goal for him since that first year here, and he’s really worked at it, so to see one of those goals he gets to check off his list is pretty cool.”

Bidunga moved to Kokomo from the Democratic Republic of Congo for his sophomore year and instantly made an impact with the Wildkats. Kokomo reached the Class 4A semi-state in his first year, then last year fell to undefeated Ben Davis in the Class 4A state title game.
This year, Bidunga is averaging 17.9 points, 12.9 blocks, 3.5 assists and 4.3 blocks per game and is making 81% of his shots from the field.
He is committed to the University of Kansas for college.
Indiana University recruit Liam McNeely was also named to the McDonald's All-American team, which was selected from 724 players who were nominated by a high school coach, athletic director, principal or member of the selection committee.
Bidunga will play for the West team, while McNeely is on the East roster. You can see complete rosters for both the boys' and girls' teams here.
The girls' game is set to tip off Tuesday, April 2 at 6:30 p.m., with the boys' game scheduled that night at 9:30 p.m.
