John Andretti will be remembered with services in two states next week.

INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - John Andretti will be remembered with services in two states next week.

Visitation for Andretti will be held Monday in Huntersville, N.C. before a Mass of Christian Burial in Indianapolis on Thursday. Visitation in Indianapolis will be held from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at Saint Peter and Paul Cathedral Catholic Church at 1347 N. Meridian Street with the Mass to follow.

A private burial will follow.

Andretti passed away January 30 after a nearly three-year battle with colon cancer. The former race car driver, who competed in both IndyCar and NASCAR during his career, used his platform to encourage others to get schedule a colonoscopy after his diagnosis with the social media hashtag "#CheckIt4Andretti."

He also used his status as a driver to raise millions of dollars of the years for the Riley's Children Foundation, including his annual "Race For Riley" campaign, which he started in 1997.

The Andretti family said in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Riley Children's Foundation or Window World Cares in John's name.
