INDIANAPOLIS — Registration is now open for the Indianapolis Colts' new flag football league.
The statewide network will help grow the game of flag football, as well as help connect parents and kids to NFL flag-sanctioned programs in their area.
The inaugural Colts Flag Football League will include the following eight established leagues and one developing league:
- Elkhart Flag Football: Elkhart
- Ft. Wayne East Flag Football: New Haven
- Ft. Wayne West Flag Football: Ft. Wayne
- Indy South Flag Football: Indianapolis
- Pike/Indy West Flag Football: Indianapolis
- Noblesville Flag Football: Noblesville
- Louisville Flag Football: Louisville
- First Baptist Athletics: Indianapolis
- YMCA of Greater Indianapolis: Indianapolis
"Football brings people from all walks of life together for a common goal and teaches skills like teamwork, discipline and confidence that are important to success in life," said Kalen Jackson, vice chair/owner of the Colts. "The Colts Flag Football League will provide kids a safe and fun way to learn the fundamentals of the game and help bring the sport to even more young people across our state."
