Benjamin Easley, Citizen Energy's Coordinator of Corporate & Public Affairs, shares "We actually have five utilities within our company. The oldest one is natural gas - we serve natural gas to our customers - and we also have drinking water that we treat and distribute to our customers. We collect waste water, that's sometimes called sewage. And then we treat it before we release it into waterways. And then our final two, we call Citizens Thermal, that's steam and chilled water that's used to regulate temperature in a collection of buildings downtown."
Easley comments on how to interact with Citizens Energy's field staff. "Our field staff are in residential areas every single day, and oftentimes they can't give prior notice. So the way that you recognize those folks is they often have that high vis shirt on, they are always carrying their Citizens badge, and their shirts probably have their Citizens logo on it as well... If folks are uncomfortable with the person that they see in their neighborhood, just ask them if they have their badge on them."
