Citizens Energy is hosting a Community Resource Day on October 21st. Benjamin Easley, Citizen Energy's Coordinator of Corporate & Public Affairs, shares "This is a time for Citizens to explain all sorts of resources that are available to people in central Indiana... Citizens will be talking about how to be energy efficient, how to be safe during this coming season, and then all of the different programs that are available to folks who may have trouble with their bills and so need some financial assistance as well."
Citizens' Community Resource Day will have resources and education from other organizations such as The United Way, the Marion County Health Department, and COBURN.
For those struggling with their bills, especially during colder weather, "The Energy Assistance Program is the big one. That's the federal program that people can apply to for bill relief. And we will talk you through that process on site."
Citizens Energy's Community Resource Day is on October 21st at 2020 N Meridian Street from 9am - noon.
