During this pandemic, senior care residents have had a particularly rough time being isolated from outside family and friends.
After three months, American Senior Communities are allowing residents to meet with their loved ones in a safe, protected environment. Janean Kinzie, Director of Social Wellness and Enrichment, says that ASC is working with the Indiana Department of Health to reunite residents and family.
“Families who are ‘approved’, those who have not had any positive Covid results in the past 14 days are being offered outside visitation while social distancing, “says Ms. Kinzie. They also must be:
- Feeling well
- Screened for temperature
- Social distanced, while wearing face masks.
All the information from the Indiana Department of Health is shared on the ASC website, ASCcare.com.
ASC invites families and friends of their residents to learn more about this changing healthcare situation by visiting the site or contacting them with questions.
