American Senior Communities (ASC) is partnering with MyndVR to bring virtual reality programming to assisted living residents at their locations.
Vickie Greenough, ASC Memory Care Business Development Specialist, said VR technology opens up new opportunities for residents.
"Bringing virtual reality to them allows them to maybe participate in something that they've done in the past, or experience something new that they've always wanted to do," Greenough said.
Chris Brickler, CEO of MyndVR, agreed.
"We look at a lot of holistic, therapeutic applications. So we can really start to blend in with reminiscence therapy, music and art therapy and we start getting into physical therapy and occupational therapy," Brickler said. "It's really exciting all the ways that we can make therapy fun again."
