INDIANAPOLIS — In preparation for the upcoming Total Solar Eclipse on April 8, 2024, the Indiana Department of Homeland Security has launched a new website to help Hoosiers get ready.
The IDHS, state agencies and local government personnel have partnered to create a new online resource so all Hoosiers have up-to-date and accurate information regarding the eclipse.
Those wishing to learn more about the eclipse can visit eclipse2024.in.gov for tips on how to prepare and how to safely enjoy the upcoming spectacle.
Indiana is expected to have a prime view of the eclipse as most of the state is expected to be covered in momentary darkness. The website also features videos meant to help spread awareness to the public about proper safety information.
