INDIANAPOLIS — The Children's Museum of Indianapolis is making sure everyone is protecting their eyes during the eclipse.
That includes the dinosaurs outside their building.
On Monday, workers put glasses over the eyes of the lifelike prehistoric looking creatures.
"We like to dress our dinosaurs up for different occasions they always dress up for Halloween or Christmas," said John Riefler, the museum's science program manager. "We've sometimes put a big basketball or football under the foot, depending on the sports season, so it's just another opportunity to do something cool or fun with our gigantic dinosaurs."

There will be giveaways, activities, and festivities to celebrate the historic event.

Museum officials say you do not need to do anything additional to secure your spot to watch the eclipse there, but they encourage families to buy tickets in advance.
