INDIANAPOLIS — If there's something strange in your neighborhood, there's someone to call in Indianapolis.
The Circle City Ghostbusters were spotted at the City-County Building on June 8, which is "Circle City Ghostbusters Day."
The Marion County Sheriff's Office posted about their strange encounter on Facebook on July 16.
It turns out, the Circle City Ghostbusters have more than 40 members dedicated to helping local charities around central Indiana, including the Dayspring Center, Gleaners Food Bank and the Children's Museum of Indianapolis.
And they do it in style, sporting some very impressive gear when they go out on patrol for the creepy-crawlies, spooks, haunts and other ghosts.
When they stopped by the City-County Building to get the proclamation, they got an escort to the mayor's office from some sheriff's deputies.
The sheriff's office also shouted out the causes the Circle City Ghostbusters support.
The Circle City Ghostbusters have a lot of members, ranging from an alleged time-traveler to an "immortal puppet."
Even if you don't believe the backstories, the work is very real. In 2024 alone, the team has raised more than $9,000 for charity, while putting in almost 1,100 hours of volunteer work.
And they still find time to dance.
The CCG are an officially registered 501(c)3 charitable organization. They are always looking for new members, though they have a few steps you'll need to take, including bylaws, event appearances and a vote from the team.
And despite the charity work, they are still paranormal investigators. So who you gonna call? You can try this number.
If you just want to see them in action, they'll be at Gen Con this year.
