(WTHR) - A school bus driver in Kennewick, Washington helped the kids on his bus route stay warm this year.

John Lunceford was picking up students for school when he noticed a boy who was crying.

The boy's hands and face were bright red from the freezing temperatures.

Lunceford gave the boy his own gloves. After dropping the kids off at school, Lunceford went to buy the kids hats and gloves who were in need of them.

With the help of an administrator, he later found the boy in the school library and gave him the new hat and gloves he had bought.

“I’m a grandfather,” Lunceford said, according to the school district Facebook post that described the incident. “No one wants a kid to suffer like that.”

This small act of kindness is making a big impact on social media.

The post has over 2,000 shares and has gone viral.
