WOODFORD COUNTY, Ky. (WAVE) - Your chance to own a castle is just a few hours - and a few million dollars - away.
The Kentucky Castle, a landmark hotel west of Lexington, is being listed on a "call for offers" process on LoopNet. The 19,355-square-foot castle sits on 53 acres and was completed in 1980 after 11 years of construction, WAVE-TV reported.
There are 17 rooms in the hotel, which averages 76 percent occupancy at an average daily rate of $342, according to LoopNet. There are also two rooms that are currently being used for storage and a recently built luxury cabin.
The hotel also features a "cutting edge spa," the listing noted.
The listing price is only available upon request, but WAVE reported it sold for $8.7 million in July 2017. Since then, the owners have reportedly spent $2 million in renovations.
Property tours are scheduled through March 10, with the initial date to submit offers on March 11. The property will be awarded to the new owners on March 20.
