BATH COUNTY, Ky. (WTHR) — Officials in eastern Kentucky are searching for a missing Amish child.
According to LEX18, the child had been in a buggy with their family Wednesday afternoon around 4:30 p.m. when they were swept away by water.
Four children had died, LEX18 reported.
There were five children and one adult aboard the buggy when it overturned. Officials said they were attempting to cross a low-water bridge before they were swept away. The adult is OK.
Officials spent the night searching for the fifth child.
