INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) — A rare Pokemon card collection has just sold for a lot of money.
A fan of the cards spent $100,000 to purchase the collection at an auction.
The 103-card complete set of 1999 Pokemon 1st edition cards were all in perfect condition with a Gem Mint 10 grade.
According to the site, it's the second complete set to be sold of its kind at auction. The final sale price of the cards was $107,010.
It had a total of 12 bids.
The key card in the set is Charizard. According to Goldin Auctions, a similar card was sold for almost three times the $8,800 sale price in 2016.
